When a student, parent, teacher, or school messages Garad on WhatsApp, we may collect the WhatsApp phone number used to chat, the messages sent to and received from Garad, the grade or form level shared during a conversation, and basic usage details such as when messages are sent and which subjects are asked about. If a message is sent through the contact form on this website, we collect the name, email address, audience type, and message provided.

How we use information

• To respond to homework, revision, and exam questions in a helpful and accurate way.
• To improve the quality and relevance of Garad's tutoring over time.
• To adjust explanations to a student's grade or form level.
• To respond to questions or requests sent through the contact form.
• To keep the service safe, secure, and free from abuse.

WhatsApp and third-party services

Garad operates on WhatsApp, a messaging service provided by Meta. Messages sent to Garad pass through WhatsApp's infrastructure and are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy and terms of service, in addition to this policy. Garad may also use third-party technology providers to process conversations and generate tutoring responses. These providers only receive the information needed to deliver the service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Data sharing

Garad does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers described above, or when required to comply with the law, protect the safety of a user, or respond to a valid legal request.

Data retention

Conversation data is kept for as long as needed to provide tutoring support and improve Garad, and is removed or anonymized when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to the request.

Children's privacy

Garad is designed to support students from Grade 1 to Form 4, some of whom are children. We only collect the information necessary to provide tutoring support, and we encourage parents and guardians to be involved when a young learner uses Garad. Parents may contact us at any time with questions or requests about their child's information.

Your rights and choices

Students, parents, teachers, and schools can ask what information Garad has collected about them, request that it be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. To stop using Garad, simply stop messaging the WhatsApp number; no separate account needs to be closed.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect information shared with Garad from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Garad grows. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top.
